I couldn't resist taking these photos as the Delphiniums are starting to flower.
All grown from a seed packet a few years ago.
All delightful in their own way.
Ooops! despite a quick pruning of the dreaded bindweed clearly some remained.
Dreaming spires, so apt.
More dreaming spires in the evening sun.
The easiest way to grow Delphiniums is to grow in their own bed with a gritty top soil to help prevent slugs and snails eating the tender shoots. The box edging is ready for a trimming shortly. The rose behind is Sanders White full of buds but a bit later than some of my other ramblers to flower.
