UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

At last Spring is here, the temperature during the day has been just right for gardening, it is so nice to feel the warmth of the sun and see what is flowering.

It's surprising the variety of colours of Hellebores, I didn't think I had many this year but guess they are just slow in showing due to the very long and cold Winter we have had.
At last I have been able to garden in comfort and catching up with tasks that were never completed in the Autumn.

  2. The flowers are extremely beautiful. The pot in the first photo looks old and rustic, and yet lovely and blends well. ~bangchik

  3. Hi Joanne,

Isn't it wonderful to see things in flower now? The sun has been lovely and warm today and I enjoyed my first sit out at the top of our steps taking in the heat from the sun.

I love your hellebores, such a lovely shade of red... Sumptuous!

  6. Oh your hellebores are quite something Joanne and that bit ahead of us. It was indeed almost springlike today when the frost melted. Unfortunately I had to be elsewhere other than my garden so was spitting feathers!

  13. Thank you all for your lovely comments.

Deborah I have to confess, no I definetly did not get down on the ground. Infact I still would find it difficult to do that, down and up, with my few remaining Lyme symptoms, but I actually took them blind lowering the camera and on automatic and with the odd bit of cutting and many dud photos was able to come up with the above.

    Isn't digital photography wonderfull.

  14. Ah, Spring... We still have much snow where I am, but the sun is shining today. A long winter in Canada is much easier to endure when I can visit blogs like yours. : )
