A SPRINKLING OF SEASONAL SNOW

Soon after the frosty start the weather turned to snow but fortunately we have only had a sprinkling unlike other areas.

Note I did not need to add the snow flake effect to this photo.

Again I think the remaining dead growth adds a good dimension to the winter garden.

A look down the road to the woods.

The next morning from the bedroom window. It gives a good plan of the garden at the front.

A view across to the trees from the bedroom window.

This is a view from the back bedroom window and gives a good plan of the back garden. Excluding most of the top grass area because it is covered in roof sheets etc as Mike still hasn't finished the work on the back lean too. Weather has now got in the way of the last few hours needed to complete the lean too but at least it is water proof. Once I can get to this area there are still some shrubs I need to prune.

Just a bit to the south not covered in roofing stuff.

A view from the back bedroom across to the woods with the bit of the other bedroom window in the photo.

A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL CLICK

  1. Oh Joanne - you are lucky - we are still snowbound after two days - I live on a very steep hill and we still can't move the cars! Enjoy your sprinkle!

  2. What an ingenious card, Joanne, thanks! Your garden scenes are perfect. I love looking down at the whole thing covered in the transforming white stuff. While you might see jobs that need doing, or a roof obscuring things, we see great beauty and a delightful garden. :-)

  3. It never loses its magic does it ? Great photos. The white stuff has finally arrived in the northern wastes of Cheshire too. Having fallen over in it this morning when getting the papers, I am staying put so there will be no photos from me :) Wishing you peace and happiness at Christmas and in the new year Joanne.

  5. Hi Joanne, your photos are beautiful! Where I am in Pennsylvania, about 6" of snow fell. How much do you normally get "across the pond"?

  13. LOVE the pic of your cottage in the snow! We had a blizzard today where I live so we spent the afternoon digging out. It's a good thing that my hubby has a snow blower.

  18. Your pictures have reminded me how cold it was today working out in the garden with the snow falling on Painswick Beacon.

Beautiful but best viewed from the comfort of an armchair by the fire I think - well at least now anyway!

  24. HAPPY NEW YEAR Joanne, I hope it's a healthy one for you. Those photo's are great. The one looking down the road with the post box in it should be put on a Christmas card, it's excellent. Have a good week. :)
